    There was a screw s/c on a 3.0ltr done in Western Aust (Perth), which made over 500hp on a chassis dyno. The car also had N20, cos apparantly this was not enough power.

    The company involved was Formaz. www.formaz.com.au

    The site is still pretty new, but you'll be able to e-mail them.

    Theyre ya go. :beer:

        ESS = BOOM!!!

        At least thats what I've heard from many Audi owners who have been following them for some time.

        Go w/ the AA or Jim C that will be coming out soon.

          for those of you who don't know

          BOOM=BAD=$$$

          Lots of HP is good, but if you can't keep your car running, it'll do nothing for you, I have heard similar things

            :banghead: i guess it is too good to be true then huh. you guys sure it isn't from them doing the install themselves and not doing something correct? i was talking with a rep from koperformance.com and he said it is possible to do it yourself with normal tools also, that he has a dinan but he only got it because it was a deal at the time, but he would have rather gone with ess... but who knows hes probably just looking to make some commission

            anybody have one/know someone with ess setup and is doing alright....maby you could tell me how many miles they have put on with the ess

            thanks

                I called them today and they expect it to be ready at the end of the month, but they have a waiting list you need to get on. He made a good point to me on the phone; no auto manufacturer puts in a stock centrifugal supercharger. Makes sense I guess, although I would get the rotrex from AA if they would give me a good enough deal.

                      With jim C doing the tuning I would have no hesitations to get on the waiting list..that is if i had the money

                      Some companies are hardware only and they would rather move units then take the time to tune their kits properly...Jim C and Josh McM arent like that..it looks like it is going to be bulletproof and after I finish the suspension and then do the ecis bbk I will be ordering my twin screw setup.

                        Anyone know the exact price of the twin screw supercharger? I know its a guess at 7000, but I'm seeing twin screw's going for 3 to 4,000 bucks. I know they've worked long and hard on this, but how much of a markup is this going to be? I called asking about the cam kit for my car and what pricing would be without the intake manifold and they told me they couldn't sell it seperately, they gave me one dumb reason and then said it was because of development costs and something about people stealing their work and selling it cheap. All because they couldn't remove the intake manifold and give me pricing for everything else? Maybe I'm just venting, or maybe I'm bringing up the point that JC might be screwing us out of a good deal. If I was him I'd be pricing it the same or below as the AA kits, the supercharger, and knock them, dinan, and whoever else out of the water. I don't know anymore..., what is the big deal with upgrading our cars that everything has to cost more than every other car.

                          I think the costs are up due to the limited number of cars which were produced. Limited is really relative in relation to say the number of 5.0 mustangs which were produced. The more kits that can be sold, the lower the price as R&d costs are spread oout over a larger number of kits.

                          The cost has been said to be around $7000 with an additional 10 hours of Install unless you install it yourself.

                          Yes, the blower isnt too expensive but they have to machine pieces for the engine and tuning and their time is poured into these kits too..it all gets figured in.

                          In its current form and with the estimated pricing this kit is set to blow dinan, rms stg 1, aa sc, and aa turbo gen3 stg.1 kits out of the water for similar or less money.

                            7000 includes installation? I don't see how hard it would be to install a twin screw supercharger. Just like changing the manifold and the belts I imagine. Plus changing the ECU or using the shark injector. A turbo kit I'd have the work done for me because I don't have a lift, but a supercharger seems like its all something that can be done topside. I'm guessing it would take less than a day to get the supercharger on by a do-it-yourself'er

                              It is 7k for the kit..then you either pay more for install by someone near you or install it yourself. I think that you are right about it being able to be done in a day. I know people spent about a weekend installing their aa sc kits using jack-stands and what not to work under the front of the car a bit. I am pretty sure Josh and Jim C. agreed that a competent shop should bill 10 hours for the install even if it were to take less time.
