    Trade My E46 M3 for your E36 M3?

Just as the title says, I'm a bit curious if anyone with a 1995-1999 E36 M3 Coupe. Would want to , or consider trading their car for mine + about $35,000 Cash. I absolutely love my car, but it's a bit much for me right now and need to think more practical. Check my sig for info, and mods. ALL Mods would be included.. and would hope if your E36 M3 was modded, I'd get those in change.

    Thanks, Kevin

You must be nuts, do you think somebody with a well taken care 99e36 will go for a deal like that ... GEEZ .... and that's regardless of the mods. You should have said 95-96 tops.

I think thats a horrible offer. Plus 35,000... 35,000 is what the e46 m3 is worth right now. Your asking about 50,000 trade for a vehical worth only 45 new.

I think its stupid to ask so much when we can invest 7000 to buy the new Jim Conforti Supercharger and make more horsepower to the wheels than an e46 m3 can do at the crank. Now maybe if it was an e46 m3 for an e36 m3 plus 20 grand that would be more realistic... but still 7 grand is all it takes to put our m3's deep into the 12s. Do that on the e46 M3 safely

Well the option for year isnt really a concern, some would say a 95 is worth more than 96, due to the OBD I. and a 99 could have 112,300 Miles on it while a 96 has 47,000. So it's all relative. My 02 only has 13,000 Miles and has every possible option from the factory.. including weather package (rare for so cal) and rear automatic sunscreen. Not to mention the $4,000 HRE wheels alone. anyway, it's just a feeler and I'm not sure what direction I plan on going right now I will probably just sell all my mods and the car seperately. Thanks for the interest!

You're smoking crack. Do you really think that:

            A) Our E36 M3's are worth that little

            B) Your E46 M3 is worth that much

            Which is it?

There is a real aftermarket for our M3's since the engine is virtually indestructable. Where as the e46 M3 engine is actually unreliable. I've heard horror stories of them blowing up because they can't take the abuse like the engines bmw built for the e36. Aluminum engines just can't hold up well enough. Maybe you can just sell it for 35,000 and buy an e36 m3 with low miles in mint condition, put a supercharger or turbo on it, and burn everything on the road and still have money to feed your family! Or is 35000 what you still owe on the car?

You're crazy crack smoking. My 99 w/ under 40,000 miles + $35000 = over $60000 for an old E46??? Plus the mods de-value the car somewhat except for the wheels. Hit the crack pipe again and give it another shot.

I obviously misrepresented myself and the prices I was interested in, and you guys certainly let me know that

I was posting under the impression my car is worth about $44k in stock condition with all my options, mileage and condition. and I would be getting a gently used 95 or so M3 in return valued at around $15,000 (they are between $14,000 to $18,000 where i am) so thats $29k difference, and then I over quoted my mods heavily and true my wheels are probably of the only value so even $30k would be stretching it. and I have decided to just part out the car completely and sell the car stock and then just buy a E36 M3. I hope I didn't offend too many people here, as it wasnt my intentions and I plan on being a fellow E36 M3 owner in the near future

Again I take everything back, sorry for the confusion and my overly optimistic price range.
