Damn! A little story about my garage...

Okay, my garage has an e36 M3 in it. [Inserted in an effort to appease the forum gods]



But, the real story is... my flatmate owned a 2001 Audi A4 1.8T fully MTM'd... it was black with a kit, dropped on BBS 19's with a BBK and it looked F.A.T!



Two days ago he arrives home in his brand spanking new 2004 Audi S4 4.2 V8 - m.u.t.h.a. f.u.c.k.e.r!



I couldn't believe it, I didn't even know he was thinking of it!! For crying out loud (I'm a little pissed... but not too much... that he didn't involve me in the purchase process).



It's one sick ride boys (and girls) but it's not how I would spend my money.



It's quick too, real quick. I drove one last year and was amazed at the fluidity of the V8, it's a nice motor.



Once it's broken in we'll take the two for a few head-to-heads...

Man, that's gotta be a hugh surprise. I thought his A4 looked awesome. He must of had a lot of cash burning a hole in his pocket. Some pics would be cool.

Don't worry, your car is still faster (aside from the launch). That AWD tranny really sucks up some of that power.



However, that S4 would make a wonderful daily driver.

Did he get the submarine (avant) or the sedan?

Oh, I doubt your car is faster...they have 340(i believe) horses, they can keep up with an E36, to at least 60. http://pages.infinit.net/s4video/

To be honest, I don't mind either way... we will find out but I don't mind what the outcome is, outright speed is not a priority for me. Up to the legal limits here I think it will be little more than a driver's race. And of course I'm the better driver...

All up though, I'd be surprised if mine was much, if any, slower. My 1/4 times and dyno results seem to prove that I've got a very strong M and the e36 M3 has a better power to weight ratio, less drivetrain loss and better weight distribution than the S4... all adds up for me...
