OK SO I GOT MY OEM BMW BUSINESS CD PLAYER YESTERDAY AND I INSTALLED IT IN MY 95 M3 PLUGGED IT IN, TURN THE CAR ON AND THE DISPLAY SAYS "CODE WAIT". SO I PUNCHED IN THE 5 DIGIT CODE THAT THE SELLER PROVIDED ME WITH AND IT DOES ABSOLUTLEY NOTHING AND THE DISPLAY STAYS THE SAME. SO WHATS MY PROBLEM HERE DO I HAVE THE WRONG CODE OR WHAT CAN I DO TO FIX THE PROBLEM. I WAS GONNA GO TO BMW WITH THE SERIAL NUMBER TO GET THE CODE. ALSO IS THERE A CERTAIN WAY TO ENTER THE CODE ?? ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED. :help:

First you have to turn off Caps Locks and stop yelling at us.
. If you put the wrong code in a few times it will lock the radio permanently. Unplug it and give it a few hours to completely drain and try again. There is no special way to do it. Turn it on, enter the 5 digit code, then it should start playing in a couple of seconds. Maybe the code is wrong.
If this does not fix it, then take the radio to BMW and hopefully they will be nice enough to pull the code for you. -

i believe if you enter the code wrong three times in a row it "locks." you should be able to unlock it by turning the key until the radio comes on. leave it that way for an hour and it should give you three more shots.
if you are sure you are entering the code properly, then you'll need to go by the dealer and let them pull the code. some dealers may charge, some may refuse to do it if they suspect it's a stolen radio. i suggest calling ahead and talking to someone in the service department and see if they will do it before you head down there.
