Euro headlights from the UK

Hi, anybody know if UK E36 headlights have the same beam pattern as the German ones? Also is Bosch the equivalent of ZKW/Hella in terms of quality? Thanks, Bob 98 M3/4 Cosmos.

I think that the UK headlights would be the same. Bosch is good stuff. Bosch and Hella are about equal in quality. Then comes ZKW from what I heard

UK headlights have the opposite beam pattern as German lights.

RHD cars have a RHD pattern... \_ \_



LHD cars have a LHD pattern... _/ _/



Bosch lights (and probably others) work either way, you just need to change them over (I don't know how to do this, the manual says see your dealer).

Thanks for setting me straight. Thanks to the other forum members who replied as well. Looking at the photo of your car it looks as if botgh high and low beam are ellipsoid projector type. Does the Euro M3 have a better light than most Euro 3 series?

No as far as I'm aware... all e36's (Non-North American) have the same headlights.

i seriously wonder what BMW NA is thinking when they import this crap.. like we wont expect good stuff too? motor.. lights.. brakes.. . WTF?!?!?!?!
