What a weekend, first the hood accident. Then the pulleys installed. Now I went to teach my younger brother how to drive stick and...the seat wouldn't move forward so he could reach the pedals. ARGH! :banghead: The backrest motor works for tilting, the seat up and down/tilt motor works. Just the forward/backwards motor doesn't respond at all. I'm going to hook up a multimeter to the leads to the forward/backwards motor, but I'm assuming the motor is just blown. What's worse, the seat is all the way back, so I can't get at the seat mounting bolts to get the seat out, I can't move the seat to get to the bolts. So if I can't get the seat out, how can I get the motor out to replace it/test it? Does anyone know of a way to manually move the seat forward/backwards?
Edit: Ran a test with multimeter, put switch to move seat forward, get +12V, backwards get -12V so that seems to be working...so should we assume the forward/backward motor is blown? It doesn't seem like there's anything blocking it on the track because the motor doesn't even make a sound or lurch.
