I have an Alpine white '97 M3 that I purchased a few months ago. Love it. However, I am looking for a little more now... As far as mods go for increasing HP and torque, how much does it take to feel the difference? 5hp, 10hp, or 20hp increase. For example, the well beaten topic of the JC shark injector posts about 10hp peak increase with an improved torque/hp curve shape. Or should I just save my money for a while and get the new twinscrew supercharger.

You would probably "feel" the gain somewhere between 10 and 20 HP. However, a lot of mods will give you a psycological (sp) feel, but if someone snuck in your garage at night and gave your car about 15 extra HP, you would think that your car felt a bit stronger the next day.
If you think you will ever go F.I. down the road, then make sure you get mods that can be used along with it. For example don't shark your car or get cams. Go for basic mods like exhaust, and maybe the JC intake that can be used along with the new TS S/C.

Generally its easier to feel any loss in HP rather than a gain in hp. Just swich the a/cond on and your 5-10hp loss seems like about 50.
Its sometimes difficlut to asses HP gain cos its not usually consistant through the rev range. When I get my 400hp ride tuned and software tweaked I can feel sometimes big gains in the bottom end when there is only a gain of say 2-3hp at the top end. And other times I have had gains of 15-20hp that I have not really felt. For the record I run 226kW (303hp) on a chassis dyno.
Its sometimes more difficult to see the gains from the top end cos there is lots of distractions.
