Goodyear Eagle F1 vs Bridgestone Potenza S-03

Ok .. Lemme keep it short n sweet.

I cant decide. I know the S-03 are nice, had them on my Golf b4.

Had the first edition of the GoodYear Eagle F1s ... Which where prolly hte worst ive come across.

But the GoodYears have a Badazz tread pattern and dont seem to be all that bad.

So now u folks tell me.... F1s or S-03 ?

Yoko AVS Sports have a similar tread pattern to the GSD3's and they're damn sticky... I can recommend them.

Otherwise my vote goes to the Goodyear's for their price.

yoko avs sport are stickier and cost less than the goodyears. i bought them a few months ago and i love them. no squealing either. 235/40 17 are damn wide for their size also.

just to add to your choice. S-03 are really heavy, and the goodyears are lighter. and If you have read the big topics on which tires the mass of tires you will learn that Lighter tire = faster and less rotational mass.

I had to make this choice like last month and i am glad to tell you that i made the right choice. I picked the goodyears. Yeah the previous F1's were really disapointing but you wont be disapointed with these. If you live where it rains alot also, these tires have an amazingly hydroplane resistance. If you're gonna buy them also, get them from tirerack.com a lot cheaper than the price at the goodyear shop. Just get them installed and balance at the shop, should run you $90 dollars for that. The shipping from tirerack takes about 1-3 days, i ordered mine on a friday and had them installed on a tues. i believe.

My dad has the s03s on his car and i have the gsd3s. He loves his tires says they are much nicer than the pirrellis he had before and his seem to be wearing better than mine. The s03s i believe run wider than the goodyears too. I love mine they work nicely in the rain and dry. And for the price they are a nice tire. I will prob go with the goodyears again. they do seem to wear quickly with the abuse i put them through

AVS sports stickier than the GSD3's? No No NO way! Had them both - no comparison... The goodyears are better in the wet, dry, less sidewall flex, cant think of a catagory where the yoko's are better.

I just bought these from tirerack tonight, the pilot sport PS2's. Kinda new tire and looks like it wouldnt be very good in rain but they say great things on tirerack about them. 166 for fronts and 188 for backs.

I can give you a review in a couple months when I wear out the S-03s... I haven't driven my car in a while because something went wrong w/ my garage door and I couldn't open the damn door.. so I had them come out and tear the old door down, replace w/ a new door and opener...

I currently have the Bridgestone Potenza S-03 Pole Positions on my car.. but have a set of Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3's sitting in my house waiting to be mounted when the S-03's wear out...

I also got both of them from Tirerack.. and they sent me this newsletter thing on max perf summer tires... it rates the Bridgestone Potenza S-03s, Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3's, and Michelin Pilot Sport PS2s
