This is a great Forum! - I'm new...

I purchased a cosmos black '95 M3 over the weekend and it looks like I found a forum of people with the same passion for these wonderful cars. Looking through the gallery I was greatly relieved that no one here had an M3 that looks like this. (http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/517991/3) How could you do that to any BMW let alone an M3!?!?!? Sorry I just had to get that off my chest.

Previous cars owned include; '89 Supra Turbo, '97 Eclipse (really not worth mentioning), '97 Miata (nitrous, spring, shocks, too much to list), and a '94 Mercedes-Benz E420

Just wanted to introduce myself and say hi...

I did the same thing as you -- found the board AFTER I bought. These guys have been great.

Welcome to an informative and friendly group of M3 fans. Enjoy...

Thanks for the warm welcome. The car already has a couple mods including a short shift kit and a brake upgrade with cross drilled rotors. Before I modify this car anymore I would really like to ("need to" is probably a more accurate statement) attend a driving school to get the most out of this car just how it is. After this happened (http://miata.cardomain.com/memberpage/149869/5) I became a true believer that fast driving belongs on a track. I'll most likely begin getting involved with my local SCCA group this spring.

Sorry about the Miata, did if effect your insurance rates at all? My father-in-law has a Miata and my only gripe with it is that it needs about another 50 HP.

Yep, I was driving. I went through seven of those wooden posts that were sunk in concrete, I hurt the next day. Amazingly my insurance didn't go up, in fact, it went down when I got the Mercedes.
