    Stromung Exhaust

Does anyone have any experience with this brand exhaust? Any comments?

My '96 came with a Stromung when I bought it used. I think it sounds great: nice low burble at idle and not too "ricey." It isn't as loud as others I've heard and that's a good thing in my book. Just a little more throaty and noticable than stock. Quality-wise, the welds are kind of ugly when you look under the car but the tips look great from behind. There are mesh-like inserts in the tips but I'm not sure what they're for. Like I said it was on the car when I bought it so the exhaust is 5+ years old and well broken in. Hope that helps! Enjoy

    Here's a link with a fairly accurate appraisal: www.m3motorwerks.com/products/description.php/II=21/PA=83

I have Stromung video clips posted on my web site. Stromung's owner chooses to leave the welds raw because they're not visable once the exhaust is mounted anyways. Stromung's exhausts are very lightweight, sound and look great.

Thanks guys...which would you get though, that or the UUC or the AA?

The TSE and the Stromung are lighter than the AA by ~10lbs. The AA is the quietest of the three, the TSE is the loudest. TSEs are (of course) on backorder, so don't expect one anytime soon. I can't really complain about any of them, but a personally chose a Stromung for my M3

I got the Stromung (from Understeer at his advice) and I love it. Not very loud, but lets you know its there when you ask it. Quiet in the city, and a great sound on the highway, plus no droning. A+ for me.

                TSE drones?

I don't have personal experience with the TSE, but I have heard that it has a propensity to drone, as do some of the other exhausts. However I can't vouch for that.

I have experience with DINAN and AA Gen III. The AA suits my taste best.
