    BOLLOCKS! vanos f&*ked up

i been drivin my evo now for about 2 months when my low oil pressure light came on, i knew this was gonna be bad news. When i got home i looked at the underneath of the car and saw oil dripping. when i went to go inside the house i realised my driveway had a pool of oil where i normally park the car, i was just so ignorant i didnt realise that my car must have been dropping oil for at least 1 week.

I checked the dip stick and sure enough the car was on the minimum oil mark.Anyhowz i took it straight away to BMW to get it looked at. The engineer told me that my vanos unit was damaged/failing. basically because the m3s vanos unit runs under high pressure the oil was just being sprayed out, all over the underneath of the engine bay, also i was losing performance. He said the tapping/growling my car was making was the vanos unit.

I then asked asked why does the oil leak even when the car is off? he then said the M3 has a semi-dry sump ( apparantly if you smash your sump you can still keep driving but once the cars turned of the oil will just pour out) and basically as soon as you start your car all the oil is directed straight towards the cams and engine. The engine retains its high pressure for up2 three days! and thats y oil was dripping out my car even when off. The engineer then said thats y all the M power vehicles they service are kept for at least two days. the first day they let the car cool down and the second day get this , they push the M powered vehicle into the garage and service/reapair it.

anyways i gave my car in on tuesday and still havn't got it back. I need a M3 fix!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and the cost of the vanos part ?? £1100 !!!!! and the labour of BMW sytners ???? £120 per hour!!!!!

i dont know whether to laugh  or cry!

at least i aint siezed the engine i suppose

i NEED SUM ****IN M POWER :bs: :bs: :bs:

I havent been to a maindealer for in2 i use a company called bexley motor works they charge about £500.But they know there stuff when it comes to mpower, they also remapped my car so when ever i get it serviced i have a session on the rollers.

As far as splitter goes that cost me £440 from bmw(and thats cheap cos a friend works there they retail at around £550 OUCH)

angel eyes cost about £220 they are inpro they are easy to fit and look the bollox, but im on my 4th set.
