    new guy with question

Hi I purchased a 96 m3 a few months ago. I did a good number of research on my problem. From what i've been reading some e36 m3's have this problem with rattle noise and vibration coming from the vanos area. Well like I said I did my research and took the car to a local dealer. He took one look at the motor and heard the sound. Asked me if the car idles rough in the morning which it did. He said it was the vanos. Changed the vanos and the sound didnt go away. My idle problem was solved, the car did run better. I guess the vanos change helped in a way. So i got semi-screwed and now dont know what to do. And the dealer pretty much didnt know either. Some people suggested to use thick oil, thin oil, add more oil, but nothing is working. Kind of disappointed i had to be one of the very few unlucky ones, especially when i didnt even own the car that long. Any help would be great. Glad to be on board. Thanks
