My buddy knows a guy that works for a BMW specialist. He was giving rave reviews of the Dinan stage 1 suspension. He said its not to harsh and will increase handling pretty much what im looking for. He said he'll put it in for 1,500 thats labor included. So what do u think is it worth it?

Worth it to me. I had a Dinan stage II installed about 70K miles ago, after the Dinan front strut brace and BMW X-brace. I recall about $2000 in parts, forgot install price. I found the Dinan stage II suspension adjustable to softer-than-stock and well suited for BMW driver schools on the track. Most noticeable improvment to front turn-in response came after installing the strut brace & X-brace though; cheaper too.

I was just looking at the dinan suspension kits and they truly are over-priced.
The stage one is really just shock and springs matched together. THis can be done for much cheaper:
-Koni Struts and Shocks= $519
-EIbach Pro-kit Springs=$220
Then there will be a larger install cost because of the cutting of the front shocks..so figure a shop will charge you at the very most $450 or so.
Thats $1189 and you have the same performance as dinan. Then you can upgrade the swaybars to eibach or turner and pay about $350. Add all that together and you have the equivalent of the dinan stage 2 package for $1650 including labor!!
Just a thought.
