Out of these three: JL Audio XR525CSi, Infinity Kappa Perfect 5.1, and Kicker K5.2. Which Component is better overall if money is not an issue? Sound, quality, loudness, and clarity? Thanks.

i know im a bit biased (because i have the JL's) but the Csi's will kick the sheet outta the other two.. kappa's are good for entry level... the kickers are good.. but if u want the best get the Csi's.. there is so much adjustablitiy on them, as far as many different jumpers to adjust power to the system, db level from the tweets and the woofer... it is by far the best setup i have seen, and so far, all my friends have said they sound better than anything they have ever had.. one had an older JL competition, another had the boustin accoustics.. trust me.. they are the sheet..

Why are you wasting your time and money on those choices? Get the best and only the best, install them and forget about ever upgrading cause you're not going to ever. No questions asked.

HAHAHA, "What he said!" If i didn't read the rest of this thread I would've posted the exact same thing you have posted!
explicit, also try MB Quart, a/d/s/, CDT audio, Phoenix Gold, Image Dynamics, and get your hands on some Orion HCCA components--and among others i can't think of! Man I miss the car audio phase I was in, now it's college....

While most of the above speakers will deliver good sound quality, the MOST significant factor is speaker placement. You can put a 600$ component set of focals with the mid-bass driver in the kick panel and it won't come close to a cheap set of MBQuarts with the mid-bass driver well placed in the door. Soundstage depth and height (among other important properties)suffers greatly from the stock kick panel location. If you don't want to modify your door you can get kickpanels that will better orient the speakers, but I really don't like the set-up so close to the clutch pedal...

I have the MB Quart RSC213's (not sure about the number. i htink they were 213's...they were normally 400 bucks but I found them for like 160 online). They fit pretty nicely in the doors and kickpanels and can fit behind the factory grills to keep the interior looking stock.
anyone have a recommendation on an amp for a 98 sedan? I've got a 2+1 setup now, but would like to go to a 4+1 when i finish upgrading the rear speakers...Would like price to stay under $750 if possible.

5 channel amps are very convenient. Best bang for the buck might be the MTX Thunder 895 - 50 X 4 + 490 X 1 @ 2 Ohm. They can be had for around 250$ on line. S/N ratio > 100 db The four channel section is also 2 ohm stable, which is nice because you can run two component sets off the front channels only, as I do. Alpine and Kenwood also make 5 channel amps but the sub wattage is limited and they are much more expensive. The only drawback to the 895 is fixed crossovers @ 80 Hz for HP and LP. Having no overlap tends to pull the soundstage back abruptly on certain bass tracks. Have had mine for about 8 months after having used a RF 800a4 and RF 500/1 previously. The sound quality is comparable.

I thought we were comparing speakers, all other things considered equal???
