Confused. You want pics of an m5 spoiler for a convertible....? That doesn't make sense to me.

Yeah... There was some post here a while ago, where everyone was showing their M5 trunk spoilers... and some guy posted his convertible with that thin lup on the edge of the trunk...

Just wanted to see what it looks like on a convertible again...

For that matter .. even on Coupes...

his name was "daeceptikon" i think that was how he spelled it. He had a 318 with an s50 swap.

He fell off all the forums after he screwed some guy over $550 for a carbon fiber hood.

They say the m5 spoiler runs over the edges of the trunk by a bit and the m3 spoiler falls short by a bit less than an inch on each side.

The lip on the boot of the M5 is too curved for the square design of the E36, it doesn't add up to me....

Photo below is a E46 lip spoiler on my cabrio. Yes, there's a little less than an inch between corner of trunk and spoiler. Have to decide for yourself whether it bothers you.

The M5 lip will work on an E36 M3. I have one, got it for $45 and just have to get it painted before installing - I think the guy wants another $45 to paint. The M5 lip will overhang by 1/8 - 1/4 of an inch I believe, the M3 lip is short by 1/4 - 1/2" on each side of the boot. The curve doesn't matter - they will both work as they are flexible and will straighten out a bit to fit.
