hey i'm plannin on gettin a m3 soon. If i'm lucky i'll buy a used E46 but chances are i might get a E36. not sure wat year but probably 95-99. I wanna know wats the standard horsepower and wat i can do to mod it up? and wats the max u can put on it? thank you

Depends how much you want to do to it, standard horsepower is 240 at the crank.

when you say e36 95-99, that's basically all the years, but the 95 is different from the 96-99 basically speaking.

I mean, you can basically do to this anything you could do to another car, CAI, exhaust, cams, pulleys, forced induction, weight loss, suspension, brakes etc etc etc...just depends on your budget.

The E36 M3's are known for their bullet-proof engines. The E46's have much more parts and technology involved, that stuff can go wrong more than on an E36's.
