knock sensor - too many choices! WTF!

'95 M3 (US OBD-I)

i've searched, and found a nice writeup on the procedure. but... as i was looking in the ETK for the knock sensor part #... DOH! it gives me a choice of 3 different part numbers! and the pictures of the sensors all look exactly the same!



these are the numbers it listed:



12 14 1 738 667

12 14 1 401 238

12 14 1 401 187



wtf? which is the correct one? i am inclined to say the first one, as that is what is listed for the similar M50 engine, but i dunno. also, i am assuming that both sensors 1 and 2 would use the same part number...?

ah, nevermind. i found the answer at pelicanparts. it is the same one used on the M50 engine.
