    Strut tower brace

I am interested in knowing what kind of strut tower braces you guys have, front only, or front and back, what they cost, and what you noticed as different after install. I just saw one for $19 on ebay. Looked pretty lame, but would it do the same as an expensive one? (Here's the link)

Not really into skimping on my M3, but can't really see paying $400 i think for a dynan. What do you think of this one?

just browsing around ebay (almost as expensive a hobby as my M3)

Well that first one looks like something you could make from Home Depot, aka cheap. I would not waste $5 on that thing ....The second one doesnt seem to be of any name brand but it looks about the same as the other designs out there by AA, RD, etc..

Many say to avoid those with hinged designs...the argument behind it seems to make sense to me, so I ordered the JT-Designs front and rear strut tower braces...they should be coming in Tuesday, so I can't tell you anything about how well they work until then

            I am so jealous!

The JT-Design might easily be the best one out there. I've actually test-fitted the base to that one and the machine work is incredible. It makes use of the grooved design in the M3's strut tower to totally secure everything in place. When I have the extra $$ that will be the one I get. Please keep us posted after you've tried it out!

I have 5 days ago installed OMP front strut brace (125€)

What a difference in stability, allthough there allready was a lot of it, I do notice

a considerable difference, specially on curvy roads.

              Best yet..

Ill take pics soon n post

Well I just put in the JT-Design rear shock mounts and the front and rear strut tower braces. The front went in pretty easy, just had to play with it some to get the nuts in right, took maybe 10 minutes to install. The rear took a lot longer, but it was really easy...the hardest part was probably sticking the carpet back in and getting it to fit behind the speakers properly (I didn't take out the speakers like some people recommend, I just yanked on the carpet real hard). Well my wife's car is in the driveway, so I can't get out of the garage tonight, so I'll have to test drive it on the way to the airport in the morning and let you guys know what I think

Does it increase stiffness in the ride? Gracias,

                    Hi

Yes i notice some stiffness as well, but in general after having it nearly 2 weeks now, my conclusion is it just makes those roundabouts, and curves, a lot easier to go through at higher speeds, and it brings your front back a lot quicker than before. Id recomend anyone to install, Im positively more than happy with my buy.

Sorry to get off topic, but I was wondering what you thought about the JT designs RSM's, and how hard was their install?

                        Sameguy,

The JT Designs RSM is a direct low cost replacement for the OEM version. I sell the RSMs for $50 shipped and I do have them in stock.

JTD also has a RSM with removable bushings and some hardware which goes for $105.00

Installing RSMs is easy and taks about 2-3hrs.

Man.. two or three hour to replace RSMs? I had my entire rear suspension done in 1.5 hrs....

Anyone have the genuine BMW motorsport strut brace or know of a less expensive place to get it than turner motorsports ($699)?
