    H&R coilovers?

I've been waiting for this for a while. My rear struts are leaking and are shot, so I've got no other option but to tune my supension  . I was looking at some H&R coilovers, wondering what you guys all think. Also, any suggestions of other brands/setups? Thanks.

It's a pretty good street setup if you are into the 'set and forget' type of suspension.

vitolo, have you got them or does anyone you know? Yea, I'm not autocrossing it, but I am interested in starting some driver's ed type of things. How about GC and Bilstien PSS suspensions?

if you plan on tracking nothing can beat a GC setup. I wouldn't even think about pss9's. Like vitolo said, h&r are great set it and forget it, great street light track use coilovers.

i have H&R coilovers dumped all the way down, my car handles pretty good, the tires of course give out if i push it too hard, there is no body roll, the car is very stiff like i like it to be, ride quality is great.. now someone mentioned that GC is better for track use, why? how is it better? just because it's more expensive? i personally think that it's the driver and the tires, and the rest of the suspension (sway bars, strut bars, etc.) rather than particular coilovers.. maybe i'm wrong..

As for springs...theres not much difference in between manufacturers

              Struts may vary

GC offers the correct strut length in the front and rear. They have multiple shocks for the e36, AD's, DA's, and SA's. They offer multiple rate springs in multiple lengths. They offer camber plates; custom spec'd struts with added space for wider tires without spacers, or can add or take out camber with the struts. They offer 5 different rear SA's shocks for the rear of an e36 m3, based on length of spring and ride heights.

Why do you think strut bars and sways have more of an effect than the actually coilover?

Sways are often seen as a band-aid for improper suspension design. Strut bars are probably the last things someone should add. Tires do play a very important, probably the most important part of a car. Second would be the suspension, not the sway bars or strut bars.

ok i see, but i don't track my car, and if i will it's going to be once in a while, so for my daily driving street maybe light track in future, H&Rs i think are great coilovers.. i also heard that H&R coilovers make the spring and strut correct length as well, just not adjustable dampening, but the setting is nice and stiff, and thats how i wanted it to be, so even if they were adjustable i would have no use for it.. i really want to get some sway bars and x-brace, are UUC sway bars good? or should i consider something else.. thanks
