KBB on the car is $13,375, since no one is bidding I would start at like $13K and go from there, I don't think I'd pay over $14K for it though.

Man, I only want 14000 for my 97 w/77k on it, BUT an m3/4a...sounds WAY high for a 120k'er, MAYBE 10k for it. The M will not last as long as a 325 of equivalent useage...

I can go for you on Friday, if you're ready to pull the trigger.

PM me with the link to the car, so I know what I'll be looking at exactly. Suggest you contact seller and let him know I'm coming, ask about a time, etc.

I also know an independent dealer in Manassas, I sold him my first flood damaged M3 to turn into stock car. (see my sig) Good guy. He could do an inspection for you if you decide to buy.

                  Let me know.

                  Edgy

m's have very strong engines, ithey are made to be driven hard. I am not hesitant to push the car, never go past redline though. have a 95 with 108k. I Still have the original clutch in it. Engine and tranny are very well built, only problem that people have is miss shifting which causes overreving the engine which pretty much destroys it- a mistake made by driver, not the car. And changing oil religiously, important on every car. Only thing is that an M3 is a BMW which means expensive maintence if you take it to the dealer. Need to find a reliable mechanic that is familiar with bmw's or you have the knowledge to atempt to fix it yourself.

Having a BMW also means a lot of computerized parts and sometimes hard to diagnose. eg air bag light.....mainly small stuff.

                      But its the

Most bang for your buck for normally aspirated. When you get a turboed or supercharged car, reliability will diminish over time when the car is pushed hard.

OK, see my email to you, checked out the car this past Saturday. It was a pretty day for a drive. Owner seemed like a nice guy.

Here are two pics, others are a little too large to attach, I'll have to post and send you links.

And the independent dealer I mentioned in previous post is about a mile from this guy's house. So if you decide to buy, should be easy to setup an inspection.

Thanks alot man, I'm mainly concerned about how it ran which it seems like you think ok. I can always repaint and replace things but a blow engine is alot bigger deal. I think I might be doing an e46 bumper anyway and get the front repainted when I do. If you can give me a way to get to the other pics. Again thanks so much.

dude dont get it.. it's got 120k miles on it. my 1990 mercedes-benz has 120k on it..

it needs suspension.. motor mounts, flex disc, ball joints, and bushings galore..

just wait and find one with lesser miles.

well guys I'm getting a little nervous.......this is about all I can afford....and I need to buy soon...I'm wondering how much it is to replace the console piece either in OEM woodgrain or say silver or carbon fiber.......also how much for new/used seats or good leather coverings? Please post up ASAP b/c I'm trying to close next Tuesday.

OEM wood is expensive, and almost damn near impossible to get a good grain match if you replace it later on.
