Coupe interior in my Saloon ?

I fancy some sexy vadar coupe seats for my M3 saloon.

Is it correct the front seats will go straight in ?

The door cards will be no good but will the rears go in ???

I've seen Vaders in 4drs before. I'm pretty sure they fit no problem with little hassle.

Right. But if you get vaders for a 4door, dont' get the ones that go in the coupe.. cause they fold foward, and that'll look wrong in a 4 door lol

        hmmm...they make non folding vaders?

It would be kinda funny to have that lifting tab on the side of the seats of your 4 door.

What about the rear seats ??? I don't care if there are coupe folding knobs on the side of the fronts !

respec24...if you've got the saloon, you have the saloon seats with tilting headrests. i actually think that the vader seats are uncomfortable because the lack of head support. the only benefit i see with the vaders are their look and the increased surface area of their heating pads.

respec24...when you do get the vaders in the fronts, see how many times someone will open the front doors and TRY TO CLIMB IN THE BACK BY TILTING YOUR SEAT FORWARD. I say this because a friend of mine had an acura integra 4DR that became a 2DR to drunken girls. One night a drunken girl tried with all her might to tilt the seat forward until she finally just climbed into the front, then between the front seats and finally ass high-in-the-air to her final destination: the back seat. This happened many times again in drunken situations because people who don't know their stuff are much more used to seeing coupes of integras than sedans. Much like many people in the earlier part of '97 who didn't believe that an 4DR M3 was produced.

DougyKim, you know the vaders' headrests go up right?

They fall down easily and often and don't look that cool when extended, but they do offer some head support.

Or are you just saying that the sedan's seats are better about providing it in general.

I guess what i'm trying to say is that the sedan seats' headrests are more purposeful.

Right-O astan...the vader's do adjust up and down....but they do NOT adjust forward and back. I love how I can set my head against my headrest when i'm cruising on the freeway and still keep my eyes within the horizon line. With the vaders, i'm looking at the sunroof when i rest my head backwards. Such a difference in my opinion.

LOL..I got you. Yeah, the vaders are kind of bad about that, but I guess that I never thought much of it because my prelude was the same way. It's seats weren't adjustable in ANY direction (headrest wise).

My car is so damn bumpy with the camber plates and bilsteins that you wouldn't want to rest your head against anything in the first place. Trust me.

i believe you, astan...I'm on stock suspension w/ worn bushings and oakland, CA roads are probably far more torn-up than those deep in the heart of texas =) I always figured that I'd swap out the suspension when I finally got my M3 but other problems, as you can see, keep coming up! I have an especially bad back as i'm in the field of architecture. That head rest tilted forward on my sedan really keeps my back straight while driving...as long as I skoot my rear allllll the way back. Sometimes people leave an arc of corner room in the seat bucket when driving, which would destory my already deteriorated back. The vaders look much better tho with, like i said, larger heating area. In the end, few of us all get exactly what we want. I always wanted power seats in my M3, but i don't. AT LEAST I GOT THE LATERAL HEAD REST ADJUSTMENT!!! hehe.

respec24: it's a cool way to make your ///M sedan unique. i would just stop at the fronts tho...the rears would be pretty awkard, as the middle seat would have to be filled somehow. i'd say put custom heating mechanisms in the rears w/ oem switches.

Wait...what do 4 dr rear seats look like that you don't like? Coupe Rear seats are horrible. They're like a big@ss bench.

Convertible rears are buckets though, which would be nice I guess. You can't fit that 5th person awkwardly then of course.
