Stock Replacement Part Store? Also, Pic request!

    Hey guys/gals,

I'm comin to you in this time of need again! So here goes!

The body trim that goes around the whole car (black) on my car seems to be fading, which is not uncommon for a 95 or anything. Where could I pick these replacement pieces up? I have yet to find a Bimmer online store that carries OEM replacement parts such as that.

Another thing...The door pull handles on the interior of my car are wood, like the rest of the trim, but they look like crap for some reason, almost as if they're bubbling??? So I need to know where to buy replacement pieces for them also.

Pretty much I just need a Bimmer online store that has all replacement parts for interior/exterior. I have a feeling the dealership would cost a TON.

Lastly...Does anyone have a picture of a Silver E36...M3 or 3-series...with black rims? preferrably with a polished lip. I like bein different, and I think this could look awesome!

Sorry for the long post...I ramble! Joe

I would check out bimmerforums because they have a great for sale section over there. There are alot of guys parting out things from there cars that you can pick up at a great price.

You have to be willing for it to come up and not need it right away though. I got a new center vent like that.

if the trim around is black, you can use a product called "Black Again" or any similar product to restore the color to black...you have to reapply it usually each time you wash the car, but it makes rubber and plastic look oh so good

If the trim has a whiteish color to it at some places try this:

This may seem a little odd, but most detailers swear by it. Use peanut butter (any reg brand) and smear it on the molding evenly with a rag, let sit for a little, and wipe off. Do all the moldings then wash the them with some car soap, you will be suprized by the results, i'v done it and it makes them look brand new

haha, the peanut butter idea sounds a bit odd...but it make sense I guess...it has all the oils and whatnot. It's not so much ALL the trim that is bugging me, its that ONE piece doesn't match, the rest of the car has a textured molding, but the passenger side rear molding is a smooth black...just looks tacky. Would just a single molding be expensive from a BMW store?

Actually just try your luck at the dealer, what's the worst they say? "$150 for the molding" and you go ok cya...never know, some parts you think might be expensive turn out to be cheap.

The PB trick really works, if you do get a new molding (just one) and it sticks out vs the rest just try the trick, i bet it blends them all in very nicely with the new one

Bavauto.com has a trim set but as for the bumpers use the tricks because those dont come off

Someone has replaced that strip with an early-'94/95 piece, shouldn't be too expensive, $50 tops. BMW switched from smooth to textured moldings during 4/95.

                  Yes they do come off.

Mouldings are listed at about $50 at the dealer.
