Digital Climate Control (heater) Packed up

Hi folks, just thought I would post and ask if anyone has had this problem, I have an M3 Evo 1996 here in YES sheep land in Wales, and well there is something strange going on with it, it seems to be totally dead when you start the car, no buttons work on the heater/climate control, and you get down the road around 4/5 miles.... bingo it comes on.... then goes off and plays dead again...



Anyone got any ideas whats up with it..

D-S, that's a huge assist. That URL should be pinned somewhere on the board for Climate Control problems.

Hey you know something that is the quickiest and cheapest car repair I have had to do.. took out the climate control unit.. as per instructions.. hoovered it out, brushed it.. and stuck it all back in.. BINGO... I dont believe it.. it WORKS.. dont know how long for.. but looking at other postings relating to this problom, re links from the mentioned url given .... its going to be like 50 cents to repair it.. or a new unit around $150.. thats good enough to me.. and even I could slot it in and probably save $200 labour..
