Umnitza ZKW w. DDE PnP question

Hi, a question for anyone who has installed this. The instructions that come with the headlights seem to cover everything except what to do with the PnP connectors. Most of the connections are self explanatory, connecting to the similar shaped plug. There are two wires that I couldn't figure out where to connect them to. One is a black wire with a ring terminal on it, I'm guessing it's a ground...I would guess to connect it to any good ground on the body of the car, but is one preferable for each of the lights? The second wire is the grey one with a vampire tap on it, what is this supposed to tap into, I was guessing one of the wires to the foglights. If anyone could fill me in this would be great, thanks!

Oh also, where did you guys mount the ballasts?

I think the wire with the tap is going to tap into the corner for power for the dde's.

tap the parking lights on each side.

passenger - grey with purple stripe

driver's - grey with yellow stripe.

The ballast mounts on the bumper tray before the headlights go in.

Ground from the HID, driver's side 10mm bolt.

Passenger is hard - usually requires a sheet metal screw or the cross member hex bolt.

          Norlin,

You can also wire the power wire to get them to come on all the time when you start the car vs. having them come on with the parking lights. if you need help, let me know. I installed these a couple months ago and have been so happy with them.

I wired mine to come on as soon as the car engine is started.

By the way Matt, I love the pics on the other post you had. And I love my eyes. Thanks so much!!

Oooh I wired mine up to the parking lights, but would love to hear what to do to have them on all the time! Unfortunately one of the DDEs doesn't light up, but Matt is looking into it for me!

                Norlin,

Just as easy to say this publicly as privately.

I think there are potentially 2 issues.

                1) Ballast is bad - you'll get a new one to test out

                2) Damage during shipment:

                a) we test at opening of the Enhanced

                b) we test at install

                c) we test at assembly

                d) we test prior to shipment

If the rings don't light at any point along the way, they are thrown out.

I suspect it's not the ring. I suspect the ballast.

If you email me your address, I'll ship a ballast out to you tomorrow.
