After staring at it about 400 times during the past day, I realized the black/dove combo was a tad strong. So I added a third option: black/anthracite, which actually matches my carpet pretty closely. Of course I'd have to mix my own color, I'll be contacting the folks at leatherique about this.

I think it would look sweet, but be aware that it takes FOREVER and is really annoying.

heheh the work doesn't bother me. I'm quite ardent when it comes to my projects.

BTW thanks everybody for the input, keep it coming. Who knows, in the end I may end up with solid dove again. ops:

There are companies out there that specialize in leather repair. We use them at work, and alot are mobile too. They'll repair your leathers cracks, and then re-dye it. A whole seat is like $400, but thats better than 2k for new leather...

Yes but how does it compare to just getting new leather. I can get it done for wholesale, which should be less then $1000. That being the case, wouldn't it be better to just get new leather.

Wow, the anthracite looks horrible...no offense.

I like a contrast. The anthracite just looksl ike dirty grey.

Why not get that god awful purple leather BMW used in some of their cars to match your exterior? :P

Funny, I am currently doing the same thing I ordered the leatherique a month ago, it just has not been warm enough to start the project. I decided to go two tone black bolsters with modena centers to break up the orange color a little. If I were you I would consider the purple leather in the centers. My 97' 528i sport had a rich purple leather I loved it.

All this talk is making me seriously consider two tone with my modena...that could be pretty cool.

Was that god-awful purple interior called mulburry?

I think I like the two tone, but it's hard to say without seeing it in real life.

but i can do the whole thing for less than $200, front and rear. and not everybody can get it done wholesale like you. plus the shops around here would charge an EXTRA couple hundred $ to replicate the /// stripes. for the price of the stripes alone, i could refinish my entire interior.

You should put black alcantra centers in your seats and keep the bolsters dove. Photo-shop that...it might look pretty good.
