Eibach Springs and Koni's from 318is - Will They Fit?

I installed Koni adjustable shocks and Eibach performance springs on my '95 E36 318is a couple of years ago, and I'm wondering if those suspension components will fit on an E36 M3 and if so, whether they will be a performance improvement over the stock E36 M3 suspension.

    Thanks,

While they will likey bolt up physically (except for the upper sping plates), you REALLY don't want to run those on your M3. The 318 spec springs and struts are designed for the weight of the M42 motor which is lighter and sets farther back in the chassis than the S52 motor. The front end would sit WAY low and bottom out frequently with those installed on your M3.... don't do it.

Thanks for the tip. I figured it wouldn't be a good idea. Nevertheless, I feel that my '95 318is feels "tighter" through corners than does the M3 and so I'm considering a suspension upgrade. Any recommendations on the spring / shock combination? I may consider Eibach / Koni again since I've been so happy with them on the 318.

      Thanks again for the guidance.

The Eibach/Koni combo works well on the M3. Personally I switched over from Eibachs to H&R Sport springs to lower the ride height of my M3 another 1/4 - 1/2", the Koni/H&R combo works quite well for me.
