So it is true! 6500 redline in 3rd gear and up!
More than once already i have run into that limiter and been like "wow it seems a little early!" But at 90+ mph I really dont have the time to be looking down seeing where exactly it was hitting the limiter at!
So for a 3.2 usa motor its:
6800rpm at in 1st and 2nd (and out of gear)
And 6500rpm in 3rd and up!
Is that to help prevent over revving at higher vehicle speeds??
How about having the shifter in 3rd 4th or 5th gear (coasting down the road or at a standstill) with the clutch pushed in?
Will the limiter kick in at 6500rpm then??
Does anyone know where the sensor is? How does it know what gear its in??
This is very interesting!!
Thanks
