Any idea on how to remove my HID headlight system???

When I bought my car a few weeks ago it came with the CATZ ZETA HID headlight kit. I decided I want to sell them and put them back to stock. The problem is no instructions or anything came with them when I bought the car (it was installed in at a dealer in NYC)

Does anyone know what I have to do to remove them and put it back to stock?? It was a plug and play kit using the stock headlight housings. Do I simply have to remove the ballasts and the wiring to them (two of them plug into the fuse box)?? What do I replace the empty fuse sockets with??

Any help on this one would be great and if anyone is interested in this kit it will be for sale.

    Thanks

    Brian,

Can you get some pics of them? It is possible that the housing are not the stock housings anymore either. Do you not like them as the HID systems are much better than stock lighting, depending on the housing (U.S. or Euro).

Yea I know it sounds weird but I just want to have everything stock, and plus I could use the money from the HID kit to help me fund some other things I need.

Im nearly positive the housings are stock. The bulbs in there now are 9005's and 9006's.

The housings also have the little N=L symbol in the lower corners of them which I have seen on other stock ones.

Just remove the bulbs, unhook the wiring, put halogens back in *shudder* and plug them back in. Easy as 1, 2, 4.

            Yea it looks pretty basic.

What fuses go into the LOW beam and HIGH beam fuse sockets?

Thanks, I think the hardest part will be cracking the fuse box open enough to fish out the wires than run from the fuse sockets to underneith.

Yea the wires for the ballasts (fused) plug into where the headlight fuses go with spade plugs.

But for the drivers side they drop down into the lower part of the fuse box and go out through the rubber grommet in the front with the factory wires to the ballast. So in order for me to get them out I need to split the box to fish them out. I think im just going to loosen the screws up as much as i can because the screw in the back left of the box is against the firewall and looks nearly impossible to put back in.

I also need to open up the harness holder that stradles the valve cover on the fire wall. I look at thoes clips and I can already picture them snapping off!! (I already practiced with one of them).

Man... what an odd HID configuration.... most of the ones I have encountered come with plug and play connections...

It is plug and play, its just that someone installed them too good and routed the wires through the factory outlet at the front of the fuse box. Which means I have to split it open to get the wires out. I wish I had a pic online for you I guess im not as good of a explainer as I thought!!
