Help with a 5 series, Audio help

I'm installing a cd changer into a 2001 525i. The only problem I have is taking the stock deck out. Any suggestions.

I think there are two bolt things that hold it on the sides. YOu prob have to remove the wood trim from both sides first. Then look. Either that, or it just slides out. But I doubt that.



I take all that back:





Radio without MID or IRIS:



Remove volume button by pulling it off.



You'll see a small slot in the 12 o-clock position above the radio:

Rotate that 90 degreees. Pull out radio. Supposed to use a special tool for that though, but all that does is stick into the tape deck and helps you yank out the head.

Or does your look different? Does it have the MID? Because thoes have more than one step heh.

I pulled the knob off and it shows the volume shaft with a nut holding it in place. And there is a slot in the 6 o'clock position. Should I rotate that 90 degrees and remove that nut? I don't know if it has the MID that you are talking about. What is that?

MID, mutlti info display. Can you post a pic of what your raido face looks like perhaps? Would be easier to find directions if I knew what I was looking for...
