My A/C stopped working in the middle of 2003. Compressor was kicking in but the air wasn’t being cooled. I had a shop recharge the freon and the A/C was back to normal. In February 2004, I drove down to Miami and the A/C was not blowing cool air again. I’m assuming the freon has leaked out again. Are there any common failure points in the A/C system that I should start looking at first? Inside the car? Engine bay? Seals? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Ac leaks are hard to find. Get a shop to recharge and inject some dye into the system for you, then see if it leaks out again. If it does, look around for the dye to see where it may be comming from.
Look at the seals around the connection at the compressor, and leading to the condenser. You would prob notice if it was leaking inside the car due to a funky smell.

Right, but as ziggy said before, the compressor is kicking in, which means there should be coolant moving thru the system. Check the seals ON your compressor too if you can also.
My friend was charging my other firends E30 when his compressor seals gave and all the coolant came bursting out... man if I had that on vid... *bam! hisssssss "AHHH GET OUT!"*
