    E-36 M3 Engine problems

:help: i just got 4 oxygen sensors replaced and a new stock cat, and the day i got it back from the dealer (MARTY SUSSMAN BMW) my car ran horrible, it was sputering and misfireing mostly around 1500 rpm and lower. The check engine light then came on later in the day and i took it back. Today i called them and they have no clue what is wrong.

Is the car throwing any fault codes? Strange...a faulty sensor wouldn't even make the car run poorly and it goes into a rich loop.

The intake system is probably messed up. If there is a tiny leak in the intake past the mass airflow sensor the car runs horribly at lower rpms, I know this because when installing my m50 manifold I forgot a gasket between the throttle body and the manifold and it was sputtering and stuff. I hit my head hard when I found out what a stupid mistake I made... anyways, I imagine they just didn't put the intake side back together correctly... make sure the fuel injectors and stuff are in correctly too.

Sounds like a honda dealer, Sussman uses any mechanics they can find.

If I need to I go to a dealer I go to Otto's BMW, They sell and work on BMW and Mini's only. The part guy and the mechanic are A1.

Go back and raise some hell son and get a rental out of the deal and take your frustrations out on it before you return.

I will only trust German dealerships that take pride in their product and only sell what they specialize in. I do not want to get racial here but to take your car to some jewish conglomerate that sells as many mfg as he can is not going to work on my BMW. Don't they also sell Oldsmobiles and Hyndais ?

Sorry to here it dude. :chair:
