    BBS Lemans and suspension upgrade

I want to get the 18s BBS lemans for my car. Where is the best place to get it? Also what suspension upgrades do you guys recommend? I want to lower the car with out compromising the ride too much? And what upgrades should I do to the suspension to get that, parts brands etc…Thanks!

CHeapest PLace for BBS LM wheels= www.umnitza.com , however the pricing isnt listed on his website...just give him a call or use his email [email protected]

Suspension: you need to decide if you want coilovers or not. Coilovers would provide you with a ride height adjustability whereas shock/spring combos give you a certain ride height and then it stays that way unless you use spring pads.

Coilovers: check out ground control kits at www.m3motorwerks.com

    Shock/Spring packages: www.shox.com

Unless its a track car coilovers are pointless - unless of course you just want to say you have some.

Thats untrue. With a shock/spring combination there isnt adjustability to get the exact look you want without the use of spring pads.

With coilovers you can adjust them to your hearts content.

Granted that coilovers cost more..but I wouldnt say it is wasted money.

They are noisy on a street car, they cost more, have more adjustments than needed for a street car & who really adjusts them all the time unless you are corner weighting the car for the track, etc...

Definitley not wasted money, but it is overkill. If you are just looking for a drop w/ stiffer setup just get high performance struts & shocks w/ some lowering springs - H&R sport or race. Koni has an adjustable shock that is adjustable from the top instead of having to remove them or going at them from underneath. Check out TC Kline racing for more info.

Thank you! Do you guys think 18X8 is the best setup for E36? I saw one in the pass 18X8.5R and 18X8F. I founded the 18X8 only!$2500.00.

I believe the LM only comes in an 18x8 configuration.

When i mentioned the adjustability of coilovers, I was talking about the ride height. I would like to be able to install my suspension, and the get it just how I wanted it that same day only to leave it alone from then on.

So if you are never touching it again why the coilovers??? You can pick a ride height thats close enought to what you want with all the different springs out there. I mean whats really the difference between 1" and 1-1/8" esp. when the car is going to settle over time anyway?
