My car is Boston Green and the lights are all clear...and I kinda want to get these yellow fogs. What do you guys think about the "french" yellow fog lights?

Headlights are yellow in Europe ??? better or worse guess you have to ask

our friends over there, I know some friends that ran them on their bikes but I know their illegal in the US. If someone can answer that you can take that as an example for your foglights. I think I am going to convery mine to H7 bulbs to make them useful.

          Not headlights, FOG Lights.

My dad's old Lexus LS400 had yellow fogs, I think Acura used to use them as well. It seems most manufacturers have gone away from doing this for whatever reason.

I'm kind of indifferent about how it would look on the Bimmer. I guess you should try it out, take a pic and post it for opinions.

They are yellow because yellow produces less glare when you are in fog. But, still doesn't change the fact its ugly.

amen. i guess if you're goin for a unique look, then get yellow fogs. I saw em on a black BMW once, and didn't like it. HOWEVER, it is your car and you can do almost anything you want to it...no altezzas tho... :chair:

My friend has the yellow fog lights on a daytona violet M3. They actually look pretty cool. I've heard that regular white fog lights doesn't do as much as the yellow fog lights for visibility when it's foggy. I still think that the crystal clear fog lights look the coolest though.

No no no...don't worry, I'd shoot myself in the leg before I got altezza's. I think that the yellow fogs might work...my grille is blacked out and the lights are clear, I think it might look pretty slick. Then again, I could be horribly mistaken...I'll post pics when, and if, I end up doin it. Thanks, keep the thoughts coming...at $200 something bux, these aren't cheap, and I need to hear some more opinions :bullhorn: .

There are Yellow Headlights as well. I have not purchased these yet, Police would definately not like me using them

The Lexus IS has yellow fog lights - IMO that looks bad, but it is particular.. so if you like it go for it...

and yes, France used to have yellow lights on all their cars until the early 90s I think.. there are still a few cars out there with yellow lights (my grandmother's '92 Corsa..., for one... )

That title scared me btw - I though you wrote French fRogs... I woulda killed ya for that

glad you're not goin into the dark side! maybe ESP could post some pics of his yellow fogs...i'm guessing you've seen them yourself if you're really thinkin about getting them, but for us to give a better opinion, it might help.

i was not aware that they were that expensive! I'd definately put that money towards a chip or SSK. again tho, its up to you

i had yellow headlights yellow foglights and yellow turn signals all around.... (better than orange?) anyways... i'll try to take some pix and put them on. they actually looked pretty sharp i thought. the headlights have burned out but i have a lifetime warrenty on them. just been too lazy to get around to sending them in. anyways. i'll try and get some yellow foglight pix up. you can kinda see the yellow fogs in my sig but they're off. oh btw, my yellow headlights said they were d.o.t. approved...and they havent gotten me into trouble..

///sleeper - you can try to put a temporary yellow coat on your fogs to try it out. there are sheets of yellow celophane you could prolly lay over your fog lights - you get to see the partial effect B4 dropping $$ on the kit.
