Have you guys considered pressure testing your system for leaks? It could be a bad sensor too you know.

Along with the new sensor, it could also be due to a bad resivoir or the sensor in the resivoir. Have same problem right now....light comes on when I put key in the car; goes away when the car starts and returns when I turn off the car. Check where the level of coolant is in the resisvoir when the car is cold. Fill it up to the mark and monitor it. Never open when car is warm....only cold.

If you HAVE to open it warm-hot...then get an old rag/t-shirt or something and cover the cap and use that to open it slowly. There's nothing worse than having boiling coolant scar your face for life.

My car has the same problem. I think its a sensor...that's what the guy before me said at least. But everyone could have different problems, sounds pretty common.

UPDATE - Just got my car back from the shop, and it was the sensor. Sensor cost me $26.00. Get yours replaced! Good luck!
