Ok Ill make a very long and awful story short.
One of my BRAND NEW REAR TIRE's (michellen pilot sport )got a huge nail in it pulling out of my neighborhood with them for the first time!!
It's going to be a 3 weeks before another one gets shipped here.
So I decided to swap the damaged tire with one of my older used pilot sport tires for a few weeks just so i have my car. That used tire has about %75 tread left.
So my rear end is going to have:
1 brand new pilot sport on the right side rear
1 used (%75 tread left) pilot sport on the left side rear
My question is:
Is this slight difference in tread depth going to have any ill affects on my car?? (differential, ASC ,or any other parts of the drive line)
The tires are the same size and everything ( except the old one is a Z rated and the new one is Y) the only other thing is the slight difference in tread depth.
I dont think its going to cause any trouble but I just wanted to be sure!!
Please let me know!
Thanks
