Help installing stromung exhaust

I installed my Stromung exhaust this weeking but the tips are not lining up horizontally. The outer left tip hangs lower than the right tip. It also burned a little of my valence. I first connected the pipes underneath the car and I then bolted up the muffler. Did I do it wrong? Whats the best way to install the exhaust for perfect fitment? Thanks

Theres two positions where the exhaust mount can be placed on the left side. Ones for wide exhausts, the others for skinny exhausts to get them to fit right.



And yes, you're supposed to put the pipes in first, then bolt the back up.
