    Schrick Manifold question

With a Schrick intake manifold on an E36 M3 do you need any different software or modifications that would differ from whats needed to run dinan cold air intake, throttle body, and this vehicle already has dinan stage 3 software.

Hrm, I'm guessing w/o software you'd lose some serious torque. The intake manifold has larger diameter intakes, which cause an increase in air volume that can be taken in increasing high end horsepower, but a decrease in air velocity thus losing torque as far as I understand it...

But the car has Stage 3 Dinan software, would it need different software?

The shrick intake also holds a lot more heat than stock due to it being aluminum. From many people I have heard it is not worth the money due to this and the loos of torque. Now maybe if you have opened up the rest of the intake path - 3.5" intake, HFM, delete ASC, bored TB - then you might notice more of a difference than others. Thats what I've heard, but I dont have one so it's not first hand experience.

What do you recommend for HFM? I have dinan cold air and throttle body, but $1000 for the HFM is rediculous, especially since half is for the freaking installation kit. Is there any other HFM I can use. If so, what are the details. Will Stage 3 dinan software work with it? thanks

The shrick is a waste, just buy an M50. The m50 manifold out flows the schrick and is still reat resistant plastic.

If you already have a dinan intake, all you need is a hfm, a reducer, and the software. The only dinan parts you need is the software.

You can get a used one from www.eurospeedperformance.com if they have any left, they also sell a reducer.
