    Bonnet lifting.

Strange question, does anybody else's bonnet lift at high speed? Once I get the motor up to about 90mph, its possible to see the front drivers side corner of the bonnet lift!!

Granted it only goes up, by roughly an inch, but it is quite concerning. It isnt hard to spot, because when your driving along, you can follow the seam between the bonnet and wing, and at slow speed they are level, but when you get up to speed, you'll not be able to see the seam!

I've seen this before on another M3, and I think it is related to the two release catches, but how can I make them more secure. Apart from a good reason not to speed, it is doing my head in.

Check how high the hood comes up over the headlights, if it's too much of a gap, you can tighten it down some. At the point near the latch there is a spring, similar one on the mirror side if you split the hood down the middle. Inside that spring there is a little nut, you can fiddle and rotate that too loosen, then using a flathead screwdriver lengthen or shorten the latch. When closing your hood slowly you should be able to get 3 clicks, first from the safety latch on the right, and other two from the securing latches on the left and right. Also, check to make sure on your hood you have the rubber lining along the front...I think this helps keep an air seal amongst other things.
