    Engine running poorly... help!

I drove to a friend's home, parked a couple hours, then went to drive home. The engine didn't start immediately like it usually does. Second try it fired but sort of sputtered. I drove it home but it felt like it wanted to cut out the whole five miles.

I stopped at a car parts store to take a look and maybe get advice from someone inside. Nothing looked wrong under the hood and I shut the car off. The store was closed so I started the car to go home... runs good again!

Does anyone have an idea what happened? Was some system not "initialized" correctly b/c I had to try to start twice? Or is there a problem lurking? Please send your ideas, I will greatly appreciate them!

Make sure your MAF is plugged in, and working. And make sure your intake and both sides of the MAF are sealed up properly...

rough idle? check for vaccum leaks in the intake (obviously the intake lol)

I actually had my traction control delete boot fall off while driving... I knew exactly what happened too... when you have a vaccum leak its very noticable how the idle is very rough, and when you have it directly in the intake when you try to start it feels like the car loses revs, like it just gives up.
