How do I remove my E-Brake Handle?

    Title says it all...

I got a leather e-brake handle to replace my wooden one, but I cant seem to get the wooden one off! It looks like there's an adhesive on the back, the leather one is straight through with no adhesive. help!

    Pull and twist really hard.

If that doesn't work, look on the bottom for a small retention screw.

Hehe, when I first got my car, it has a differnet shift knob.. I pulled and pulled and pulled.. almost had a damn aneurysm trying to get it off.. then I looked and saw a small screw holding it on. :banghead:

There isnt any screw on the wood ones, I'm pretty sure its glued on and is going to have to be destroyed (ie sawed off).

They can be a PITA to remove sometimes, espcially the shift knobs.

Unfortunately, its the only way to do it...im a pretty strong dude and it wouldn't budge. It's got some strong ass adhesive that wont let it move...if you're gonna try and wanna attempt for it to be clean....wrap the end of a flathead screwdriver in electrical tape or put a towel over it and start chizzling it away...its no fun man...but suuuuuure let out the frustration I had built up of puttin in some other pieces
