    Good leather and carpet cleaners

I will be buying my first M3 in a few hours, and want to know what products I can use to clean the leather and the carpet. I plan on using Leatherique products in the near future, but I will be leaving town on Saturday (with the M) and want something I can go to an auto parts store or dealer and buy today. I need something that will work well on the door panels as well. Any suggestions?

The carpet and floor mats need cleaning too, what is a good choice here?

Welcome, congrats on the buy. Get some pics if you can

Try this for the leather, I have heard wonderful things about it:

      Can't help with the carpet.

I can tell you that whatever you buy from the autoparts store for the leather will be crap. I've had very good luck with the leather rejuvenator and conditioner from Griot's Garage. Both products bring back the leather nicely, esp. if used on a regular basis. Go to www.griotsgarage.com for more info.

Thanks, but I am looking for something other than Leatherique at this point because I wont recieve it in time with the ground shipping, and I dont want to spend the $60+ they quoted for next day. It is my understanding that their products are not availible in retail stores, so I decided that I would go for the next best thing to clean the seats and door panels.

Just to clarify, I am not looking for the anything more than a quick clean at this point. In certain areas, the door panels were dirty to the point that I could brush my finger across and my finger would be dirty. I am just looking for something to take care of this and the I will most likely use Leatherique when I get back in town.

Use a damp cloth for that. Follow with the conditioner mentioned in my previous post.

for carpets i recommend the bissell little green machine pro (the one with the heated solution). the hose is pretty long so you can get virtually anywhere there is carpet. the only complaint is that the "turbo brush" doesn't really spin fast enough, but otherwise the suction and deep cleaning spray work wonders.

even if you think your carpet is already clean, you will freak out at all the crap a deep cleaner can pull out. :eek2:

note: you'll have to remove your front seats if you want to do a thorough job
