Hey everyone...well I have been an AVID fan of BMW and do not see reason to own another car (funds provided). My dad established that I guess, our garage is all bimmers. But the time has come to shop for my M3. I am definitely going to be patient and I know what I want already. So here's the question, I have found the M3 that meets all my requirements (Estoril blue, 2-door, manual between 96-99), and it comes with stage 2 suspension (dinan), dinan supercharger, among other supporting mods. Now at first glance its like WOW, presupercharged and everything, just need to learn to drive it and yadda yadda. This also concerns me because it's going to be a pain in the ass to modify anything beneath the s/c, so it feels like the aftermarket went to nothing (it will feel stock with the s/c and it's always fun to add some new goodies). What do you guys think? Anyone have any experience with the Dinan supercharger. Thanks alot guys, hope to be joining your community here shortly.

I don't understand the car enough yet, but with past experiences with cars usually the s/c is in the way of most things, which means having to remove it or parts of it to access other parts. I may be completely wrong, and would LOVE to be proved wrong
The guy didn't list his full list of mods, so I will have to pull that off him when I look at it. But anyone have any experience or opinions on the Dinan s/c? I have done some searches and it seems that it's a solid product, reliable, doesn't maket he most power, and a bit pricey...the last 2 I guess don't apply. But just looking for inputs with experienced M3 owners. Thanks again guys.

If Dinan installed the SC, and the owner is the person who commisioned the SC install, I would go by the vibes you get from the person and the assessment of a specialist in inspecting the car. It has to be a lot cheaper to buy someone else's modded car, as you never recover the cost when you sell it. I would pay more for a stock car than one that was modified generally, so it might be a good deal. I hope you are an experienced driver though. Maybe you don't really need an SC? Power is addictive, but the M3 in stock or mildly modified form is a very capable car. SC might make it less easy to modulate in agressive cornering, and you end up with a toggle switch straight line car. Never having driven one though, I can't comment on how they perform.

Good to hear some opinions. Trust me my opinions are running parrell with yours, but I agree that it will all have to come down to meeting the guy, getting the records, and taking it for inspection. The car seems to be fine mechanically, but buying another persons FI car is a bit risky. I'll keep you guys updated, and if I do get a chance to test drive it this coming weekend I'll snap a few pics. Have a good day guys
