Just bought a 1995 M3, and I want to know if it has an alarm installed. It has a red led in the center switch position in front of the shifter. In the trunk, on the drivers side there are two plastic circles on the carptet. One reads pre-wired for cd changer, and the other reads pre-wired for alarm. I assumed this ment it did not have the factory alarm, but what is the led for? and where would the alarm be installed if there was one?

i think the horn lookin alarm thing is right behind the left corner light if your looking staraight at the engine -
The control module is behind your glove box. The alarm horn is behind your right head lamp. (thats the passenger side)
If you have a red led in your center console, its a good bet you got the alarm installed already.Comment
