    Euro M3 Gas Mileage

This question is really for the Euro M3 321HP owners.

What kind of gas mileage are you guys getting?

I measured it at 14mpg or 17 litres per 100 Km in the city.

And that's by taking really easy on the gas.

It's killing me :banghead: . 100+ octane gas in Europe is at 1 Euro/litre (about $4.5 per gallon).

Could it be that my motor only has roughly 23,000km (14.375miles on it?)

    (no joke, I bought a 98 used that was a toy-weekend car).

Will it get any better with time?

Did original owners experiemce an improvement in gas mileage over time?

For the sake of comparison, I still would like our friends from North America to post their mileage as well. The M3 promotional booklets posted a 19(city)/22(highway)mpg. Are you guys getting anything close to that?

    thanks in advance.

You're lucky...! Except for fuel prices.

    I average 18 - 22 l / 100km's in the city and 11 - 14 in the country... but we only pay .65 Euro per litre of 98 RON.

    That's in a 321 Euro 6 speed.

I know I don't own a Euro car but I'm averaging between 26 and 29 mpg highway and about 24 or 25 mpg city. Not too shabby huh?

Yeah, I'll get right around 23 mpg during the summer.

              Thanks for the input guys.

The dude from NZ gets as low as 10.9 mpg. Horrendus.

I used to have a 1972 Cadillac Eldo convertible that did better than that.

And that thing had a 500ci (8,200cc) V8, had a power sucking 3-speed automatic turbo-hydramatic tranny, and weighed twice as much.

                On a good motorway run (Constant 70 / 80 mph in 6th) : 35 – 37 mpg

                Work run (2 miles / 4K rpm max) : 22 – 25 mpg

Good thrashing (With easy warm up / down) : 18 – 19 mpg

All figures are without aircon. With the AC on the town driving stays around the same, the motorway stuff looses a couple of mpg.
