    Dead radio

I was driving along tonight and suddenly my radio stopped working. The lights still worked and all the functions worked, but no music. I checked the fuses when I got home and they were all fine. I believe I have the regular stereo in the car.

Any ideas what is messed up?

I just read the thread about the fuses on the amps. I am going to check those now.

Stupid radio, now I am going to hit it with a BFH when I get a new HU.

Fortunately driving at night with the windows down and the engine purring is better than any cd.

I just looked at the amp and I don't see any fuses on it and the wires look ok.

Do I have to remove that sumbitch to see the fuses? I really don't feel like taking my speaker out to remove the carpet.

Well damn. So much for my day off.

Could it be possible that the radio just shot craps? I don't understand how it could blow a fuse, but Ill check.

If you have the HK system, you should have an HK amp.

You don't have to remove the speaker to get the trunk lining out.

                        Where are the fuses at?

I unbolted it from the car, but I didn't see any fuses. I can't figure out how to take the cover off the amp. I undid all of the screws, but it is still stuck together.

                        Any tips?

my radio is doing the same thing.... but my lights are flickering on the head unit. sometimes it will just all blackout and then my sound is cracking like if i had all blown speakers...... then after i shut it off for a while, the sound will be fine.... wtf

Mine isn't making anysort of noise at all.

When I was driving home last night, the ST would flash on and off.

I am about to go out and tear that thing apart.

I just took the cover off the amp below the heatsink and there aren't any fuses. One of the bolts is rounded on the heatsink and won't come off.

There also aren't any fuses anywhere else in the trunk as far as I can see.
