UUC System-U + AA Track Pipe = OWNAGE

Just got track pipe on .. and now my car is uhh loud and owning the environment It totally sounds like a race car - like i just pulled off the track and i'm just cruising around!

Kept up with an SRT4 with full 3" Turbo-back exhaust FROM A ROLL and started to pull on him in 4th gear. He had another person in the car though and the track pipe needs time to break-in, so more to come on this story in a couple weeks, when i can race him straight up, take my car to the drag strip, and pay for a couple baseline dyno runs

    Its fun. Nuff Sed

I will .. and possibly sound or video clips come thursday .. got kind of a busy next couple days I will try to remember to take pics underneath when i have the car up on jacks .. which should be within a couple weeks - i'm going on vacation next week, but when i get back i will be able to work on it, because i think i left a leak somewhere in the exhaust, or at least it sounds that way

I used to have that same combo. Sounds great, a little loud for me. And it made no power.

i have straight pipes w/ no muffloer or anything else for that matter and it definitly made my 95 ///m3 faster. I'm neck and neck with a stock e46 with my intake straight pipes chip and hfm. I love how loud it is. Nobody expects a bimmer to sound like that. It's great.

the srt4 is a good friend of mine from lebanon ... blue - liscence plate "IOWNYOU" lol .. which i totally thought he would .. but we were like dead even from a roll - i would get the jump everytime had to wait for his turbo to spool .. he DID have another person in the car though .. so I'm interested to see how big of a factor that played, but i know before when he was stock and i didn't have the track pipe, he would pull on me pretty hard from a roll, but from a stop i beat him just about everytime because he would get bad launches ... but even on his best launch i held him off to my back bumper

SG_M3 ... not sure how its possible to make NO power when there is no catalytic converter anymore .. but i will admit the power is very subtle - i can see the speedo moving quicker, but you just don't FEEL the power ... its almost like i have a much improved throttle response

might just be one of those differences between the obdI and II

Yeah if you have a OBD I the track pipe does great things because well OBD I is better for killing the O zone. And on the OBD II it gives very little hp and such so mosty OBD II guys buy it for the sound.

the OBDI track pipe will make power, still hasn't be dyno proven. OBDII will not make power.

I would not remove the cats on a street car, its not worth it.

i will probably dyno it in august when i have the cash and when i'm back from vacation - my friend and i decided we'd do a couple pulls just for fun .. so that and 1/4 mile times coming soon

yeah i'm sure that it is the difference between obdI and II, considering II makes roughly half as much extra power as I does with the track pipe but yes i love my obdI and I'm thoroughly enjoying destroying the ozone totally worth it, in my opnion .. but i love loud cars

pics coming within a couple hours .. i'm about to put my car on jacks right now to find and fix the exhaust leak that i left somewhere :banghead:

btw, it has nothing to do with being OBDI vs. OBDII. The 96+ cars came with better mid pipes and better flowing cats.
