    Air Fuel Ratio

My buddy and I were installing a A/F gauge last night, and I noticed something that I should have known. There are two completely seperate exhausts. This being said, if I only have one A/f gauge, I can only record from on bank of O2 sensors. Either the odd or the even #'d cylinders. Do you think that is accurate enough, or should I use two A/F guages so I can get a more accurate reading? What have other people done? :banghead:

what brand is it? if its autometer, it is junk. dont ever trust those meters. you need to get a wideband 02 to get the most accurate readings. unless you are just going for looks and not fuction it will do.

It's stewart warner racing. They're one of my drift sponsors so they gave them to me. I will also be getting an EGT gauge, and if I ever need, a boost gauge. I want a somewhat accurate reading out of the thing, and if that means I have to get a gauge for both O2 packs then so be it, they are free for me. This being the case, do you think I am safe with one, or should I go with two?

never heard of that brand, but if it taps into your stock o2 it is junk!

hooking up to the second o2 sensor will not give you a better reading cuz its after the cat, so its not going to be accurate.

Actually, you have to tap the exhaust before and after the cat. It comes with its own sensors. It is their new line of gauges, not yet for sale to the public is what I was told last night.

I haven't actually checked that out yet Sirius. I wanted to figure out how to hook it up correctly before I get the info on how to read it. In other news though, you seemed to be right on with the water temp.
