    WTF can't budge battery

Ok so I called around and with reccomendations here and price, I picked up an Interstate MTP-91 for the car. Maybe I'm completely retarded but when I went to put it in, I disconnected the battery cables, and now I can't seem to get the damn OE battery to move an inch at all.....it won't budge. I tried unscrewing that long gold screw on the negative terminal side but it's damn tight. It also doesn't seem like this could be the only thing holding it in so damn tight. Is there anything else that I have to undo, or is this it??? Dammit I thought this would be a joke...I have to leave for work in 1 hour.

There is a bolt in the right hand side as you said. It holds a clamp on that holds the battery in place. Take it all of the way out, and the clamp will come out. The battery should then come out too. You will install the clamp/screw combo in a different hole when you put the new battery in. Good luck.

Please disregard my last question and we can all pretend I never asked.

I just kinda paniced as I had to leave for work very quickly and didn't notice that a screwdriver would easily remove that big screw.....I knew nothing of the bracket on the bottom.....thought that was part of the battery....took me 10 minutes.... Thanks anyways.....

You connected that vent kit right? The rubber hoses?

That's supposed to be important so you don't get battery acid in your trunk.

I changed my battery recently also but went with OEM. From what I understand my m3 has like 48 electrical systems running at all times that take more than there share of ware and tare on a regular battery.

The OEM battery is pretty much garbage...My car has gone through 2 and it's a 99.

They don't have any type of warranty on it either...maybe like 1 year or something.
