    Bad Luck

So I have to get my tires changed really quick because I have a drift event this weekend. Last night I drop my car off so they can put on my tires. I pick it up this morning, and the dude tells me that his machine can't deal with the lip on my rims(stock contours). So he was only able to put on one tire up front. So then on my lunch break, I go to get the other three done. I get the other front tire mounted no problem. Then he starts on the back rims. He mounts one and tells me the same thing, that he can't mount them. So now I have three new tires on my car and one old one. I have to stop by another shop to install the tires and waste more of my time. I also have to get my extra set of drift rims mounted. Neither guy wanted to touch those. So now I have three new tires mounted, and three that need to be mounted, and I have a qualifier tomorrow and I am running out of time. I just had to complain for a second guys, thanks. Also I will be in the competition at the Autofest at California Speedway in Fontana this weekend if anybody wants to watch. There will be an E46 running too, one of my buddies. Also in the mix, a bunch of 240's all different years, my buddies mustang mach 1 and a 350z. Those are just the cars from my team. It should be a good time, come down and support me please.

Thats bullshit heh. I mount tires on the stock contours all the time, which are the hardest rims to mount that BMW has because of that inner lip, on a machine thats at least 10 years old. Thoes guys are idiots.

On a side note, it has taken 5 techs to take a tire off thoes contours before. Consider yourself lucky that someone else is dealing with them and your're not.

Anyways, have fun at your event. Good luck. Get some pics if you can.

I literally spent an hour and a half just to get one tire mounted. It was no fun, no good at all. But I guess you are right, I am not dealing with them. On a side not, I guarantee not only pics, but video too.

I have cussed tires out because they wouldn't seat lol. The damn tire machine stops putting air in at 40 psi...

Thats when I take the air hose and just slap it on the tire... it usually seats around 90 psi... hehehehehe.

Good tip.. lots and lots of tire lube.

It is a weekend long event/competition. So I will have plenty of time to get some footage. So I promise that in the middle of next week, I will have it available for all to see.
