Changing transmission fluid with no jack

Can someone let me know if I can change the transmission fluid in my 97 M3 Coupe 5sp without jacking up the car? It seems like I can do it with the differential fluid. Thanks in advance.

Good luck. Unless you're uber skinny, you probably won't have much room to manuver with the car sitting normal.

Roll it up on a sidewalk. Undo plug, push car level, drain gear oil (preferably not near a waterway) and wait till it's empty. I used to fill my Bavaria gearbox every couple of hundred miles this way. Actually caused me to miss getting married because the woman I was after smelled tranny lube in my hair for several days and decided I was not a catch.

Always make sure you can get the fill hole open first before you empty the tranny. :thumbsup:
